Nowadays cancer treatment is mainly based in administration of chemoradiotherapy. The target of most of the antineoplastic agents are epithelial basal cells. Chemoradiotherapy is associated to local and systemic side effects. Among them, the most frequent are mielosuppression, oral mucositis, nauseas, vomiting and alopecia. Oral cavity is commonly affected, usually in form of mucositis which sometimes affect patients quality of life. There are no universally standard therapies to prevent or treat chemoradiotherapy side effects. In this paper we show some dental protocols in order to manage the problem.
