Abstract

MORETTI, E. et al. Hipertrophy of the coronoid process. Cir. plást. iberolatinoam. [online]. 2014, vol.40, n.2, pp.171-177. ISSN 1989-2055.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S0376-78922014000200006.

Among the causes of reduction in mouth opening gradually and without pain in young patients, we find the hypertrophy of the coronoid process. It is a disease due to abnormal elongation of the bone growth process, which causes a mechanical disruption when the patient opens the mouth. We present our experience with a casuistic of 5 clinical cases.

Keywords : Coronoid process; Hypertrophy of the coronoid process; Trismus.
