The use of virtual planning has demonstrated in several studies greater predictability of surgical results, as well as a reduction in surgical time. In addition, we have the possibility to compare our results with the planning through a comparison with a postoperative CT. This technical note aims to describe how to plan surgery for fractures in atrophic mandibles using pre-surgical 3D technology and a free software.
