On-line version ISSN 2173-4712Print version ISSN 1132-0559

Abstract

SANCHEZ, F.. Attitudes to road safety. Psychosocial Intervention [online]. 2008, vol.17, n.1, pp.45-59. ISSN 2173-4712.

The study of attitudes is a fundamental issue in the Road Safety field, if we want to understand what makes drivers to assume high-risk behaviours. To know and understand what kind of opinions and beliefs are behind certain drivers´ positions or risky behaviours may allow us the opportunity to learn what respects have to be clarified or influenced when changing to more responsible and safe behaviours is needed.

Keywords : Attitudes (psychology); Drivers; Road safety; Accident prevention.
