Abstract

Fibromyalgia is a disease of high prevalence whose pathogenesis still is not well known. Implications of psycho-neuro-endocrine-immune systems have been described which justifies the clinic, dominated by pain, chronic fatigue, sleep disorders and affective disorders. In this work the main features of the disease are reviewed from the point of view of oxidative stress as the biological basis of the organic deterioration and the main symptoms that the patient suffers.
