Abstract

RODRIGUEZ RECIO, Oliver; VICENTE RODRIGUEZ, Juan Carlos de  and  LLORENTE PENDAS, Santiago. Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Orthognatic Surgery. RCOE [online]. 2002, vol.7, n.6, pp.629-641. ISSN 1138-123X.

Nowadays, orthognatic surgery is a widely spread practice which is applied, whenever indicated, to not only severe, but also mild facial deformities. Because of its aesthetic and functional implications, our patients now accept more easily this kind of surgical treatment. The goal of this article is to show to general dentists how the surgeon manages the diagnosis and treatment planning of these deformities.

Keywords : Orthognatic surgery; Dentofacial deformities.
