Abstract
PULIDO AGUERO, Francisca; ARRIBAS COBO, Patricia and FERNANDEZ FUENTES, Anunciación. Patient satisfaction in the nursing clinic for advanced chronic kidney disease. Rev Soc Esp Enferm Nefrol [online]. 2008, vol.11, n.3, pp.167-172. ISSN 1139-1375.
When we started the nursing clinic for advanced chronic kidney disease patients, we considered the need to evaluate the degree of compliance of the objectives that had been set. This work attempts to study to what extent we meet patients' expectations and detect areas for improvement. A satisfaction survey was drawn up and we considered measuring the evolution of the most prevalent nursing diagnostics, which would give us an idea of the effectiveness of our health information and education. The results show that the clinic patients feel satisfied with the treatment and information received, considering that it contributes to a great extent to their knowledge of their state of health and improvement of their quality of life, and that patients who come to the clinic for the first time have deficient knowledge of the self-care aspects and of kidney replacement treatment, significantly improving on the fourth visit, which contributes to reducing the fear generated by the illness and expectations from treatment.
