Abstract
SUAREZ RODRIGUEZ, MA and MUNOZ LOZON, A. Neuropsychiatric disorder: uncommon but possible. Rev Pediatr Aten Primaria [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.72, pp.369-373. ISSN 1139-7632.
Neuropsychiatric diisorders are difficult to diagnose and treat in children. Behavioral disorders in children can be seen in several pathologies and they are attributed to different causes. There are disorders known by the Primary Care pediatrician, such as the attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and the obssesive-compulsive disorder, but there are other less common diseases, such as those described in this article. Our patient has a clinical picture compatible with what has been defined as pediatric autoinmune neuropsychiatric syndrome associated with streptococcal infection (PANDAS).
Keywords : Autoimmune diseases; Child mental disorders; Streptococcal infection.
