Abstract

ARRANZ, Virginia; AGUADO, David  and  LUCIA, Beatriz. The influence of the e-tutor on an e-learning program follow-up: Guidelines from a working environment. Rev. psicol. trab. organ. [online]. 2008, vol.24, n.1, pp.5-23. ISSN 2174-0534.

Web based distance learning play a key role nowadays. The use of new resources in education changes the way people learn and demands a higher effort, involvement and information managing abilities on the student’s side (Hokanson y Hooper, 2000). Therefore, tutor’s role is becoming a key element guiding and facilitating the student’s learning. Bearing this in mind, the aim of this paper is to describe the impact of tutors on a program of self development of on-line competences among 30 professionals. Initial results show that activities planned by a tutor play a key role in program success -on account of the functions of follow-up/monitoring, information and guidance carried on the student.

Keywords : e-learning; Virtual tutor; Competence learning; On-line training.
