Abstract

This manuscript consists of a theoretical essay done as a final paper for the subject 'work in nursery/health and the socio environmental context' from the nursery doctor's course of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and searched to reflect on the environmental influences which determine complications to the critical patient concerning mechanical ventilation, having as an immediate environment the Intensive-Care unit (ICU), but trying to relate them with the impacts which the actions in health produce in the global environment whenever it's possible.
