BULLER VIQUEIRA, Eva; SOLER CIFUENTES, Gema and SOLER CIFUENTES, David. Scimitar syndrome. Rev Clin Med Fam [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.3, pp.254-256. ISSN 2386-8201. https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1699-695X2015000300011.
Scimitar syndrome consists in an anomalous pulmonary venous return. In this pathology the pulmonary vein connects to the inferior vena cava instead of the left atrium. We present the case of a 40-year-old man with scimitar syndrome. The patient had no cardiological clinical symptoms. After a cautious cardiological study and various complementary tests -among them ecography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and chest X-ray- the diagnosis was achieved.
