Objective.
Analysis between the relationship of physical activity and Mediterranean diet with chronic diseases.
Method.
a search for articles published in health portals such as Web Of Scienc was carried out De Palabras Palabras: Physical activity; obesity; type 2 diabetes; arterial hypertension; Mediterranean diet; Physical Exercise.
Results.
Out of a total of 41 articles reviewed in Pubmed, Elsevier and Web Of Science (WOS), 20 have finally been used, with at least 50% of them with a periodicity of less than 5 years. Being the average number of citations of 1101.85.
It has been observed that in the different studies one of the most frequent causes of morbidity and mortality in patients with chronic diseases is physical inactivity and sedentary lifestyle.
The Mediterranean style of eating has shown, with broad scientific solvency, by association or intervention, to generate numerous benefits in the prevention and treatment of different types of risk conditions and / or chronic pathologies.
Conclusions.
It is recommended that all individuals receive advice on healthy eating and activity and adopt the Mediterranean dietary pattern with olive oil to decrease their risk of cardiovascular disease.
