Resumen
MOLINA MULA, Jesús et al. Quality management of evidence-based hospital nursing care. Index Enferm [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.3, pp.151-155. ISSN 1699-5988.
The quality of the care management will have its expression of excellence in the extent to which clinical practice is based on research that provides actionable results. The objective was to evaluate the quality of nursing care by identifying the obstacles to implementing Evidence-based clinical practice by Nursing Work Index questionnaire. An observational descriptive study of the Ministry of Public Hospitals in Imbabura (Ecuador) with the participation of 122 nurses. The results show that there lack of participation by nurses in hospital affairs, little support from managers and inadequate staff levels. Associations were observed between these categories and age, profession and time worked in the service. We conclude that managers should be aware of how these factors are impacting directly on the quality of care and establish strategies that are directed at improving the quality indicators.
