Specifically, the burnout out has been one of the variables that gives a huge response to that link, taking into account the adaptation of athletes to their specific performance environments. The purpose of this research is aimed to show the relationships between personality variables, sociodemographic variables and burnout in a sample of e-Players, (N = 42, the 84% of the Spanish population of professional "League of Legends" players), specifically players of the Spanish Professional Video Game League aged between 16 and 28 years (M = 19.95, SD = 2.55). They were administered online the NEO-FFI and IBD-R questionnaires, and a brief demographic form. The results show major differences in personality characteristics among the participants according to their position in the game, establishing positive relations and linear predictive mainly between emotional exhaustion and cordiality, and negatively with the ability to maintain results; as well as the depersonalization was positively predicted by cordiality and the ability to assess the results. In conclusion, as was expected, there is a relationship between certain personality variables and the presence of certain components of Burnout in these athletes, although this relationship is shown in disagreement with the commonly found in other studies, information that can be useful when working in preventing the onset of the syndrome.
