The study of the regulatory framework that determines the creation of the Fundamental Odontology Specialty, as a component of the Military Health Corps of the Common Defense Corps, in the Spanish Armed Forces, allows addressing the historical changes that both in its tasks and functions have affected to Military Dentistry in Spain from its creation to the present day and thus be able to understand its present and future capabilities.
