The oral mucosa is frequently affected by exogenous agents that cause changes that manifest as alterations hísticas, risks associated with malignant transformation. Cigarette smoke significantly affects the oral mucosa, and it is obvious that smoke has adverse influences caused by the combustion of the cigarette. Carcinogenic compounds contained in cigarette smoke are factors which cause damage to the smoker highlights including premalignant and malignant lesions.
