Endodontics requires a clean technique and systematic, in all its parts: removal and total disinfection of the carious process; Number detection and behavioral input; Determination of working length and optimal and necessary biomechanical preparation and its subsequent effective sealing with hermetic seal.

In the constant search for better quality in endodontic treatment, the operating microscope has been shown to be a perfect ally of the dentist with endodontic practice, going from being a complementary or auxiliary instrument to becoming the co-protagonist of the success of a root canal treatment. Thanks to providing the endodontist with better working conditions, a visual magnification of up to 40 ×, an increase in the illumination of the operative field, besides allowing the computer registry of clinical cases.

The objective of this work is, through the review of different articles, to highlight the benefits of the use of magnification techniques in the practice of endodontics, in addition to comparing the different techniques existing today, and to point out the advantages of the microscope Operative compared to conventional magnifiers.
