Hidatidosis is an endemic disease in the mediterranean area, but his presentation as anaphylactic shock only takes place in a rare percentage, oscillating between 1 and 7.5%. This manifestation occurs when the hydatid cyst breaks, liberating his content to the outside. The etiologic diagnosis is easy when the shock takes place during the surgical manipulation of the hydatid cyst, but the difficulty comes up when it occurs because of the spontaneus rupture of it. It must be suspected in healthy patients living in endemic areas and who show a sudden pattern of vascular collapse. These patients rarely have a previous record of hydatic cysts, but their clinical history usually shows the existence of a previous record of non-filiated allergic processes.
