Nine clinical cases of pathological apical fenestration in temporary incisors are described. Early dental injury was a common finding in all cases and three teeth had previously been pulpectomized. Possible factors related to the pathogenesis of the lesion are revised. Traumatic displacement of temporary teeth as main causative factor of apical fenestration was analyzed. In the pulp-treated teeth a relationship between the pulp treatment and the pathological condition was seen.
