We want to make in this article, a deep review of our experience in kidney transplantation since the moment we started the technique in 1986 to the end of the year 2000. We also want to make a compilation of the most important points of the surgical techique, patients selection criteria, and the most common and uncommont complications that can appear in kidney transplantation, analaising our results all along this time.
