Although, adhesive systems have improve, objectives of new adhesives continue being the same that Buonocore described. Adhesion must be long-Iasting and get a c10sed interface with perfect sealing. We analyse four main principies that describe adhesion: Substrate conditioning, the development of new adhesive systems and techniques, union mechanisms (hybrid layer and resin tags), resin and it's polymerisation, taking special attention to resin shrinkage.
