Being the definition of "fitness to work" the psychophysical ability to perform a safe work, this article summarizes some of the activities related to this matter, carried out by the National Institute of Safety and Hygiene at Work (INSHT), accordingly with its technical competence, in collaboration with other units of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.
