Abstract
YARNOZ-YABEN, Sagrario. Psychological Well-being in Divorced Parents: Attachment Style, Perceived Loneliness and Preoccupation About the Ex-Partner. Clínica y Salud [online]. 2010, vol.21, n.1, pp.77-91. ISSN 2174-0550.
In this work, we analyze psychological well-being (positive and negative affectivity) in a sample of 40 divorced parents. We have found associations between this variable and attachment style, loneliness and preoccupation towards the ex-spouse. Positive affectivity was predicted by low levels of social loneliness, secure attachment and low levels of preoccupation with the ex-spouse. Negative affectivity was predicted by anxiety towards relationships, a lower number of children and romantic loneliness. Implications for prevention and clinical intervention with divorced parents and their families are discussed.
