Abstract

The antithyroid arthritis syndrome is one of the less common adverse effects of  drug which are used to treat Graves´disease. It may occur at any dose or duration of therapy,  therefore an increased degree of clinical awareness of the entity is essential for the early recognition in order to treat it easierly. The main treatment is the discontinuation of the medication without the need of either further investigations or refering to the specialist. General Practitioners must have the necessary  knowledge to identify yatrogenia due to drugs.
