In these moments, in our society, the fashion for the "elegant woman" there imposes a model of totally harmful footwear for the health of the feet, therefore for the health of the women. The deformities, injuries and pain in the feet of the women are increasing as a result of it. We question why of this one fashion, being conscious that the dictations of the fashion never take are produced in the emptiness, out of a social context and they are never neutral. A qualitative analysis is realized using the theory of Glaser and Strauss and the perspective of genre to analyse the information gathered by means of the observation trying to discover that meant there hides the model of "elegant woman" that they present theirs the mass media. We verify that after the ideology of the feminine elegance there hides itself a pragmatic reality that looks for the return of the woman to a biological inferiority.
