Abstract

Our purpose was to develop an instrument to assess the adaptation to pregnancy and the prenatal bonding. The EVAP scale was administered to 116 pregnant women, at the La Fe Hospital in Valencia (Spain), between the three and nine gestation months. The scale presented a six -factor solution: emotional approach through the thinking; acceptance of pregnancy and adaptation to motherhood; emotional approach through the differentiation of the foetus; childhood experience and prenatal care; emotional approach through the interaction with the foetus; emotional approach through the emotional welbeing. The validity was 0,671. Reliability was 0,8098.
