Abstract

TIRADO PEDREGOSA, Gerardo et al. How to write Clinical Case Studies in Nursing using the NANDA, NOC, NIC taxonomies. Index Enferm [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.1-2, pp.111-115. ISSN 1699-5988.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S1132-12962011000100023.

Nursing professionals use the nursing process as well as standard languages as working tools. As a result of this, the number of case studies published in scientific publications has increased considerably. The aim of this paper is to suggest a number of proposals which might facilitate the writing process, as well as the development of a certain structure for clinical case studies based on Nursing taxonomies. Furthermore all sections that should be included in such a study are reviewed - title, abstract, introduction, assessment, care plan (diagnosis, planning, execution, evaluation), case management and discussion, as well as bibliography-so that all phases in the nursing process are recorded with the above mentioned taxonomies.

Keywords : Clinical case studies; Nursing; Scientific writing; Nursing process; Taxonomy.
