A multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyse the functional capacities by gender. Sociodemographic variables, chronic diseases and physical activity were explanatory variables. Conclusions: medical conditions are the main marker of disability, and physical activity is a instrument that can be promoted in Primary Care to reduce the risk of disability.
