Abstract

The aim of the current study was to assess changes pre and post-treatment in patients affected of Eating Disorders that received psychological and nutritional ambulatory treatment in a NGO, specialized in these pathologies. It is used body composition measurement and its analysis as a basic tool and indicator for the assessment of the intervention. In this study participated 23 Spanish women with a mean age of 22,57 years old (SD= 1,72). Statistical analysis show significant differences in EAT-40 (p= ,001), BSQ (p= ,003) and BDI-II (p= ,000) post-treatment, and also in the body composition values. In conclusion, there is a significant improvement in patients, arriving similar punctuations as healthy subjects. It is confirmed as well, the use of the body composition measurement as an indicator of the therapy's development.
