Abstract

The social constructivist theoretical framework attaches great importance to the role of language as a powerful tool for the construction of shared meanings about school content between teachers and students. This paper deals with the analysis of the discursive strategies employed by a physical education teacher of two learning units, one before and one after participation in a process of action research focused on the use of discursive strategies as a resource methodological Physical Education. For it has been applied analytical technique T-patterns through the Theme, which algorithm program allows us to reveal speech patterns. The results reveal the recurrent appearance of a communicative pattern formed by the combination of information requests (questions), with literal incorporation of the contributions of students to teacher discourse. It is hold in two phases, which shows a concern for generate moments of reflection. It is a key element in the construction of knowledge from a social constructivist perspective. The rest of discursive strategies appear less before the action research process, with a significant increase after its development.
