Abstract

This paper presents the cultural adaptation of the SERVQUAL model to the educational field, to evaluate the quality of the service provided to high school students in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico. The questionnaire was applied to 1501 students (853 women and 648 men), 59% being women and 41% men. The age range of the sample ranges from 15 to 18 years of age, students belonging to 8 academic institutions of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, in Mexico, from different areas of the metropolitan area of ​​that place. The results found in the mixed and confirmatory factorial analysis are satisfactory for their application in the educational field. These results support the existence of a stable and parsimonious factorial structure, with optimal adjustment indices.
