Abstract

The emotions experienced by university students in their compulsory subjects of professional training are a fundamental part of the educational process, which are related to different factors such as subjective well-being, achievement goals, intrinsic motivation or sports experience. In order to address them from a pedagogical perspective, a study has been developed that aimed to analyze the perception of positive and negative emotions for subjective well-being in the students of the Basketball subject of the Degree in Sport Sciences, based on the sporting experience Its design responds to the interpretative paradigm and its participants are 19 students with an age range of 19 to 28 years. The data was collected through a personal diary and semi-structured interviews. For the content analysis, the Atlas.ti 7.5 program was used. The main results indicate that students attribute their positive and negative emotions to similar reasons based on the sporting experience, but at the same time, there are independent reasons for the ease of performing basketball tasks, the collaboration in the class and the result of the games with competition and the desire to practice basketball. Therefore, it is concluded that to address the affective dimension in the subject of basketball, it is necessary to diagnose the level of learning in basketball, affective memories in basketball practice and expectations in relation to the objectives of the subject.
