Abstract
GOMEZ GONZALEZ, Carlos et al. Asymptomatic Bochdalek Hernia in adult patient. Rev Clin Med Fam [online]. 2018, vol.11, n.2, pp.101-104. ISSN 2386-8201.
Congenital diaphragmatic Bochdalek hernia is a disorder characterized by a defect in the posterolateral closure of the diaphragm during embryonic development. It is infrequent in adulthood and asymptomatic cases are even more uncommon. We present the case of an asymptomatic 56-year-old woman who was incidentally diagnosed with this anomaly. Working together with the General Surgery service, we decided to observe instead of treating the patient. We used Telematic assistance to close the case, and the patient did not need to visit the reference Hospital.
Keywords : Bochdalek Hernia; Diaphragmatic defect; Diaphragmatic hernia in adult age.
