Craquelé dermatitis or asteatotic dermatitis is a skin disease characterized by erythematous, itchy, dry and cracked skin, which preferentially affects the elderly and is the most common type of eczema in elderly patients. Among the factors that contribute to its appearance are age, seasonal climate and bathing habits, which can favour the alteration of the stratum corneum and the onset of fissures.
