Abstract

The special characteristics of high-altitude diving operations and diving into swamps demand specific sanitary equipment, which need to be adapted to the isolation and environmental conditions typical of this kind of locations.

It is also described the otitis’s preventive efficacy in administrating Burow’s solution to divers who work in swamps or standing waters.

Finally, it is exposed the medical procedure performed during a high-altitude diving accident suffered for a member of the Spanish Diving Task Force occurred in a swamp.
