Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is a common patholoy with increasing relevance among young sportsmen. This disorder consists in an inadequate femoroacetabular relation with painful and disabling clinical long evolution. FAI may mimic other hip pathologies, therefore, phisicians must perform strong anamnesis and exhaustive clinical examination in order to suspect diagnosis; confirming it by complementary tests such as X-Ray pelvis and magnetic resonance. Surgical intervention is the only effective treatment. FAI may cause early arthrosis, reason why early diagnosis and correct treatment is a must.
