The need to certify the Evidence-Based Practice, by whom and for what? The evidence-based nursing advocates for the transfer of research results into daily practice to improve care. There are many resources where nurses can find scientific evidence for the care. This text reflects on whether it is appropriate to have another model that recognizes the implementation of evidence, parallel to the officially recognized by the Autonomous Communities, which focuses its evaluation on the use of a single source of evidence and in which the recognition of nursing work is relegated for the distinction of the health center.
