The contribution to scientific knowledge of clinical cases and care plans is limited; however, theyconstitute an important teaching tool. In recent years, the nursing profession has embraced the use of clinical sessions and cases to help improve clinical decision-making. Therefore, it is considered appropriate to conduct this study in order to assess the methodological quality of the experiences published in ENE during the 2007-2013 period. Two methodological assessment tools were used, for clinical cases (30 items) and care plans (15 items). Thirty papers were identified, including 13 clinical cases and 17 care plans. The main results suggest that scores on care plans were higher than in clinical cases.
