Today it is unimaginable without internet or a world without communications. Information and communications technology (Social Media) has made it's way into the world of health. The patient is assuming a new role: that of active patient. It is a role that takes more initiative to learn about illness, become responsible for their own care and working together with healthcare professionals. The #FFpaciente project is a multidisciplinary collaborative initiative created with the intention of determining the Figure of the active patient in social networks and establishing a junction between health professionals and patients. Expanding this network of communications is beneficial to everyone.
