Clinical practice allows us to notice the existence of diverse ways of dealing with the needs of people caring in different vital moments. Considering that, it is inferred that the reality of coping of the need for care exists, questioning: could coping be represented as an element of a care model?

A theoretical study is proposed through its analysis and formalization, which shows the existence of different types of coping, which can be expressed in a series of possibilities of appearance.

With the present investigation, it is concluded that coping accompanies the person in the continuum of life.
