The current society has health demands arising from specific circumstances: The nurse specialist in Family and community allows responding to the health demands derived from these factors through their priority competencies.

in cases where health care cannot be delayed, nurse identifies the nursing diagnosis and generates a care plan. Referral routes are available to other professionals and/or other assistance levels for resolution or follow-up.

There are models of attention to health demands without appointment by nurses but oriented towards pathologies. The High Resolution Care Consultation provides the person and their care in the health organization.
