CLINICAL CASE: A 50 year old male. Smoker of 2 packets a day, and habitual drinker. Unprotected sexual enconters. Very nervous. High blood pressure. Alcoholic hepatitis.
Currently he is an inpatient for an esophagus cancer (fig 1). He is under supervision for septic mouth referred from oncology. On a first intraoral examination we appreciate a septic mouth with multiple caries, periodontal disease and a lesion found on the floor of the mouth of 1.5 cm, erythroplasica, with whitish areas, hard of the touch, asyntomatic, without accurate period of development (fig 2,3). No cervical lymph nodes. We carry out a biopsy.
