A pathological bond of love: The abuse of women

Consideramos los malos tratos a la mujer como un emergente de las relaciones de poder en nuestra sociedad patriarcal, y de la expresión de los roles de género que esta sociedad promueve entre los hombres y las mujeres. Analizamos el vínculo de la pareja en la que se dan los malos tratos como una patología del amor, utilizando los conceptos de "objeto transformacional" de Christopher Bollas y de "reconocimiento" del otro como sujeto de Jessica Benjamin.

We consider woman abuse as a result of the power relationships in our patriarchal society, and of the expressions of the gender issues that this society promotes between men and women. We analyze the link of the couple in which ill treatment takes place as a pathology of love, using the concept of "transformational object" by Christopher Bollas and that of "recognition" of the other as subject by Jessica Benjamin.

Clinical Features of the Binge Eating Disorder

El trastorno por atracón es un nuevo trastorno alimentario que consiste en episodios repetidos de atracones de comida sin realizar mecanismos compensatorios para evitar ganar peso, como ocurre en la bulimia nerviosa. Analizamos las características clínicas (conducta alimentaria, psicopatología e imagen corporal), instrumentos de medida y tratamiento para el manejo del trastorno por atracón.

The binge eating disorders (BED) is a new eating disorders that describes the eating disturbance of a large number of individuals who suffer from recurrent binge eating but who do not regularly engage in the compensatory behaviors to avoid weight gain seen inbulimia nervosa. We analyze the clinical features (eating behavior, psychopathology, body image), questionnaires, and treatment for the management of the BED.

The integration os Psichodrama with other Psychoterapies

Se describe la integración del psicodrama con otras psicoterapias. Se analizan las relaciones con el psicoanálisis, gestalt, sistémica y terapias corporales. Se ilustran con diversos ejemplos clínicos que muestran la manera correcta de integrar las diversas teorías. Se concluye que la integración enriquece la práctica hace más flexible y se adapta mejor a las necesidades de los clientes.

On describe the integration of psychodrama with other psychotherapies. The relationships between psychodrama, psychoanalysis, gestalt, systemic and body therapies are suggested with several clinic examples. With that addition, the pratice become more flexible and the clients can gets their goals.

Research and teaching in Mental Health: Reflections for clinics before self-sacrifice

Se resumen algunos rasgos de la conyuntura ideológica, social e institucional de la investigación, la formación y la docencia en salud mental y el efecto que ciertos de ellos están poseyendo de desmovilizar a los clínicos y provocar "bum-out" o "desengaño" de los mismos. Se especifican algunos de los escandalosos déficits formativos de los nuevos profesionales de las técnicas de "salud mental": en entrevista clínica, técnicas psicológicas, técnicas mixtas, técnicas adaptadas a la red y condiciones autóctonas... En cuanto a la investigación, se describen el efecto Utah y los afer Darsee y Burt con el fin de efectuar algunas reflexiones sobre su fundamentación metodológica y epistemológica y sobre sus repercusiones pragmáticas. Por último, se propone una tipología irónica de las pespectivas dogmáticas de la investigación y la docencia en salud' mental: la "perspectiva Bambi" y la "perspectiva Godzilla".

Paper resumes sorne issues of social, ideological and institutional context for teaching and researching in mental health as well as its effects 'on clinic's hope and implicit pressures to "burn-out". Sorne new-mental health professional's scandalous training deficits are specified: on clinical interview, psychological techniques, shared techniques, technical adaptations to health network and autochthonous context... On research issues, the author remembers the Utah effect and Darsee and Burt's affairs with the aim to illustrate methodological, epistemological and pragmatic shunts. To end, a ironic typology is proposedfor the dogmatic points ofview on mental health research and teaching: Bambi's perspective and Godzilla's perspective.

La salud pública y la psiquiatría comunitaria emergen, y sobre todo alcanzan sus momentos de mayor desarrollo, en tiempos de sensibilidad social, y se empobrecen cuando se debilita el lazo social. En este artículo se analiza la relación entre salud pública y clínica psiquiátrica, siguiendo las distintas fases descritas para ambas disciplinas, desde los orígenes del proyecto político fundador de la edad contemporánea. Se relacionan los viejos debates entre la medicina psicológica y la medicina de la lesión y entre la consideración de la colectividad o la individualización del enfermar y las consiguientes formas de organizar la asistencia sanitaria.

The public health and the community psychiatry emerge, and they reach their moments of more development, mainly in times of social sensibility, and they impoverish when the social knot weakens. In this article the relationship between public health and psychiatric clinic is analysed, following the different phases described for both disciplines, from the origins of the political founder project of the contemporary age. The old debates between the psychological medicine and the medicine of the lesion and between the consideration of the collective or the individualisation of falling ill and the consequent forms of organising the sanitary attendance are related.
