BRITO BRITO, Pedro Ruyman. Prioritized nursing diagnoses in primary health care. []. , 16. ISSN 1695-6141.

The objective of this study is to prioritize, according to frequency and importance, nursing diagnoses used in primary health care. A cross-sectional observational descriptive study was carried out by means of a survey distributed to 18 nurses of two basic areas of health care. The analysis of the information was carried out after the organization of the surveys into tables and adding up the frequency and importance values. The priority was stated following the above mentioned values. The main results obtained were a list of priority diagnoses for health care that included: Acute pain, ineffective managing of the therapeutic regimen, risk of infection, chronic pain, nutritional imbalance of excess, anxiety, deterioration of the cutaneous integrity, risk of falls, risk of unstable glucose, and weariness in the performance of the caregiver’s role. We must emphasize the priority that the participants have given to biophysical problems, which coincides with the results of other studies and makes evident the difficulties of the identification and approaching of psychosocial problems.
