Este estudio pretende determinar la prevalencia de la sintomatología de depresión y ansiedad en alumnado del Grado en Enfermería en Galicia. La formación académica de este título es exigente en relación a la formación teórica, práctica y clínica, lo que induce alto nivel de estrés que prolongado en el tiempo puede implicar la génesis de otras enfermedades, en relación a la enfermedad mental destacamos los trastornos de ansiedad y depresión. Este estudio utiliza los cuestionarios BDI, EADG y HAD para determinar la prevalencia de ansiedad y depresión y el procesado de datos mediante el programa Microsoft Excel 2013. Los cuestionarios se administraron en las Escuelas Universitarias de Enfermería de A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense y Pontevedra en los cursos 1º, 2º y 3º obteniendo una muestra significativa para el total de población estudio (N=955). Los datos obtenidos han sido estadísticamente significativos determinando de media la prevalencia de ansiedad en torno al 60% y la prevalencia de sintomatología de depresión en torno al 62%. Este trabajo cobra gran importancia ya que existen numerosos autores que relacionan la ansiedad y depresión crónica con otros trastornos orgánicos y mentales así como la influencia negativa sobre la neurogénesis, neuroplasticidad, sistema neuroendocrino y neurotransmisión.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of symptoms of depression and anxiety in college students of the degree in nursing in Galicia. The interest to study population since the academic training of this title is demanding in relation to the theoretical, practical and clinical training, which induces high level of stress that prolonged time may involve the genesis of other diseases, in relation to mental health, the genesis of disorders of anxiety and depression are important. This study used questionnaires BDI, EADG and HAD to determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression and the processing of data by means of Microsoft Excel 2013. Questionnaires have been administered in university schools of nursing of A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra in grades 1, 2 and 3 obtaining a significant for the total study population of sample (N = 955). The data obtained were statistically significant to determining average prevalence of anxiety around 60% and the prevalence of symptoms of depression around 62%. This work takes on great importance since there are numerous authors that relate to anxiety and chronic depression with other mental and organic disorders as well as the negative impact on neurogenesis, neuroplasticity, neurotransmission and neuroendocrine system.
