Abstract

MORENO-MOLINA, Jorge  and  DILME-MUNOZ, Jaume. Blood pool in a patient with intramural aortic hematoma. Angiología [online]. 2023, vol.75, n.3, pp.189-191.  Epub July 24, 2023. ISSN 1695-2987.  https://dx.doi.org/10.20960/angiologia.00492.

Aortic intramural hematoma is one of the presentations of acute aortic syndrome. A little-known and controversial finding is the intramural “blood pool” or thoracic branch pseudoaneurysm, characterized as a periaortic contrast area without clear communication with the true lumen and that may be connected to a branch of the intercostal or lumbar arteries.

Keywords : Acute aortic syndrome; Blood pool; Aortic intramural hematoma.
