BATTAGLINI, A.P.P.; FAGNANI, R.; DUNGA, K.S. and BELOTI, V.. Dissemination of good production practices and characterization of dairy production. Arch. zootec. [online]. 2013, vol.62, n.237, pp.151-154. ISSN 1885-4494. https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/S0004-05922013000100017.
The aim was to characterize the dairy production of Paraná state central region, Brazil, and also evaluate the good manufacturing practices training program to improve the microbiologic quality of milk. Small milk farms were the most common found, manual milking process and low level of technification. Milk's TBC averages were compared before and after the training program, with significant drop (p<0.05) of about 60 %. When milk's TBC averages of the farmers that received the training program were compared with the farmers that did not received it, a difference was also observed (p<0.05).
