Abstract

FIGUERA ALVAREZ, Diego. A day hospital experience based on attachment and focused on bonds. Rev. Asoc. Esp. Neuropsiq. [online]. 2019, vol.39, n.136, pp.239-258.  Epub Sep 21, 2020. ISSN 2340-2733.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/s0211-57352019000200013.

This article addresses the therapeutical experience that integrates the Ponzano Project (Ponzano Day Hospital, belonging to the Hospital Clínico San Carlos, in Madrid), designed for first psychotic episodes and other serious mental disorders, detailing its theoretical framework, configuration, structure, and day-to-day function. In addition, it introduces and analyzes the experimental model called “Psicoterapia Focalizada en los Vínculos (PFV)”, primarily based on attachment theory. This theoretical and practical proposal is articulated within the Ponzano Project framework, with rigorous and proven theoretical principles, under the direction of the author, and is currently undergoing a process of development and research.
