Abstract

IRAZABAL-MARTIN, Emilio. Starting, continuing, and finishing. The stages of a group therapeutic process. Rev. Asoc. Esp. Neuropsiq. [online]. 2022, vol.42, n.142, pp.197-216.  Epub Feb 20, 2023. ISSN 2340-2733.  https://dx.doi.org/10.4321/s0211-57352022000200011.

The author's intention is to describe the stages of a group therapeutic process, from the beginning to the end. Some indicators, both objective and subjective ones, are proposed to identify each stage, as well as the passage from one to another. In addition, we point out that some stages are more therapeutic than others, although all of them are necessary to achieve the success of group process. Finally, the author wonders about the technical resources and the coordinator proposals based on their reference schemes and the articulation of a clinical approach with a psycho-social one.

Keywords : learning and therapy; group therapeutic process; stages.
