Abstract

This paper intends to explain and discuss Internet's importance in storing and retrieving scientific information and especially to stress how relevant are keywords used as Medical Subject Heading in the proper indexation of documents. In addition, it presents the correct usage of references' databases and the need to know its hierarchical structure, its thesaurus, to gather adequate results. In some circumstances, in order to search thoroughly these databases, it would be necessary to formulate more complex search equations - with filters.
